– Release tension in the fascia tissue due to inflammation, trauma, or posture
– Reduce muscle soreness
– Increase blood flow & circulation
– Improve range of motion
– Encourage movement of lymphatic system (a major component of immunity strength that helps fight infection)
– Release of trigger points
This effective technique uses low and slow pressure to release the fascia tissue. No lotions or creams are used in order to allow the therapist to accurately detect any facial restrictions. This is very specific work. Generally, an hour to an hour and a half can be spent on one specific body part depending on how receptive the tissue is to the work.
